Experience and Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
● 5+ years of experience in a sales role breaking into new accounts and building relationships
● Experience selling SaaS and/or technical services to the life sciences industry
● Experience, exposure, or skills with consultative selling
● Able to explain complicated topics simply and with targeted messaging.
● Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quarterly and monthly goals
● Comfortable with cold calling, inbound and outbound prospecting efforts
● Experience working longer B2B sales cycles
● Strong understanding of the Sales process and procedures, including experience in engaging with customers and nurturing relationships
● Experience and understanding with qualifying leads and follow-up
● Positive, self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and meet aggressive team goals, as well as personal quotas
● Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team structure
● Highly organized with critical attention to details
● Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in science or business
● Strong functional use of Google Office (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.)
● Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
● Accurately record/submit sales calls activities, expense reports, and written reports
● Fluency in English, both written and verbal is essential. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
● Able to work on-site at our office in the 92121 area of San Diego, CA
Compensation: $70,000 to $100,000 per year based on experience and qualifications plus an uncapped commission based on individual sales.
